We hit the timber to hunt with Echo Calls pro-staff member Brent Calhoun. It was a cold, clear, beautiful morning and we finally got a new push of ducks! Non-stop action in the timber, don't get much better than this!
Having the opportunities to hunt mallards in flooded timber is one of the many blessings we have in the state of Arkansas. We were very fortunate to find several big groups of ducks using this particular area.
With late season rain spreading birds out, we head to a flooded field where whistles outnumber the quacks. Flocks of wigeon and teal, along with a few bonus geese, found their way into our spread during this December morning.
